Azeri grandmaster makes successful start in Chalkida Tournament

Azerbaijani grandmaster Nijat Mammadov has defeated Greek Theodore Sideris in a first round of an international tournament in Chalkida, Greece. Mammadov will next face Serbian Maria Manakova. The tournament brings together 204 chess players from various countries.
