Milan storm is over, says Seedorf

31 March 2014 [14:55] - TODAY.AZ
Clarence Seedorf hopes that AC Milan have weathered the worst of turbulent season after securing a 3-0 win over Chievo on Saturday.

The hosts earned a comfortable win at San Siro through an early Mario Balotelli strike and two from Kaka to climb to eighth in the table at the expense of the struggling Gialloblu.

"I don't know if the storm has passed," the 37-year-old told Sky Sport Italia.

"I didn't create the storm but we are very happy for all the Milanisti who can have a calmer time now."

The game also saw Kaka's 300th appearance for the Serie A club and, amid rumours that the Brazilian may leave the club at the end of the season after announcing his intention to one day play in the MLS, Seedorf was full of praise for the midfielder.

"Kaka worked hard in training so I am very happy he is able to express himself at his best," the Rossoneri coach continued.

"I cannot talk for Kaka [and rumours of his departure] as that's his future. There are no doubts on what I think of him.

"There are other players who deserve a mention, as [Keisuke] Honda did everything to help the team tonight and it's a shame he didn't score as he has the quality to make the difference.

"I said the other day that the club's objective remains, which is to qualify for Europe."

Milan currently sit eighth in Serie A with 42 points from 31 games, five points behind Inter in fifth who have played two games less.
