Real 'flies on Ermirates'

On Thursday, Real Madrid and Fly Emirates presented their new sponsorship deal at the Santiago Bernabeu. They also took the opportunity to unveil the Whites’ new home kit for the 2013-14 season. The event was hosted by the presidents of the two organisations, Florentino Pérez and Al Maktoum. Pérez said "It is a new era for two global brands that will help us in our quest for new triumphs. It is one of the most important agreements in the history of the club."

The design of the new kit came as no surprise, as it had been leaked several weeks ago. The only secret was the goalkeeper’s kit, which is purple with a two toned top. The whole club attended the event, with the exception of Morata and Nacho, who had been called up to the U-21 squad and Marcelo to Brazil, and José Mourinho who simply failed to make an appearance.
