Several corrupt traffic police officers punished in Azerbaijan

A number of traffic police employees were punished because of corruption.

Upon the order by the Interior Minister of Azerbaijan, three employees of the Republican Traffic Police Department were dismissed from the service because they did not take legal measures against the drivers violating administrative code and did not fulfill their official duties and committed actions, damaging their services in the interior agencies, and corruption, Ministry's press service reported.

Furthermore, six employees of the Traffic Patrol Service were dismissed from their posts for irresponsible attitude towards their duties and paying no attention to illegal actions of their colleagues.
