Azerbaijani ambassador to Indonesia visits Indonesia's Al-Shafi'iyah Islamic University

Azerbaijani ambassador to Indonesia Ibrahim Hajiyev has visited the Al-Shafi`iyah Islamic University where he told about Azerbaijan`s history, culture, economic development, tourism potential, and the country`s role in international and regional projects.

Mr. Hajiyev also briefed participants of the meeting on the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. The Azeri ambassador also highlighted the Khojaly massacre.

He underlined the Justice for Khojaly campaign had been launched in Azerbaijan and other countries at the initiative of general coordinator of the OIC Youth Foundation on Intercultural Dialogue of Islamic Conference Youth Forum Leyla Aliyeva.

Rector of the University Tutti Alaviayah said “we are interested in cooperation with Azerbaijan`s universities”.

The rector added political relations between Azerbaijan and Indonesia had created “solid foundation” for development of bilateral ties.

Hajiyev presented books about Azerbaijan`s history, culture, art and tourism potential, as well as the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict to the university`s library.
