15 year old girl was gang-raped in Baku...or was she?

Prosecutor's office of the Khatai district of Baku is currently investigating a complaint received from the 15-year old local resident about a gang rape, investigator Jahangir Shukurov said.

Reportedly, the victim, resident of Nasimi district, has been repeatedly raped by several young men from February 8 to 19. It was the girl's brother who told the law enforcement authorities about this.

Meanwhile, the investigator said no one has been detained due to the case yet. "In addition, we have yet to find out whether the girl had been raped. The outcome of the forensic examination will be known within a week," the investigator added.

It is the third rape committed in the capital within a couple of days. Prior to that, 21-year old girl was raped in the Yasamal cemetery. A second similar crime was committed against a 4-year-old girl in Binagadi district of Baku.
