Five more Azerbaijani citizens to be evacuated from Libya - UPDATE

Azerbaijani Embassy in Libya will send another five fellow citizens home, who currently are working in Libya. Mentioned citizens appealed the diplomatic mission to deliver them to Baku, the Azerbaijani ambassador to Libya Agasalim Shukurov told Trend on Thursday.

Azerbaijani citizens will be sent home by next flight, the diplomat added.

According to Ukrinform referring to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the plane Il-76 of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, taken off from the Tripoli airport, has landed on February 23 in Kiev.

138 passengers, including 100 citizens of Ukraine and 38 foreigners (citizens of Azerbaijan – 12, Slovakia - 2, Poland - 11, Romania - 1, Kazakhstan - 4, Hungary - 1, Russia - 5, Czech Republic - 4) have arrived in Kiev.

At the airport, the Azerbaijani citizens were welcomed by employees of the embassy of Azerbaijan in Ukraine. Today they will return home.
