Baku Traffic Police: High speed leads to fatal traffic accidents

A high speed mainly caused a traffic accidents leading to fatalities in Baku, Baku State Traffic Police Department spokesman Vagif Asadov told Trend.

As of Feb.20, Baku recorded 155 traffic accidents that killed 36 people and injured 168. Some 51% traffic accidents occurred due to high speed and 47% – ignorance of traffic ruled by pedestrians.

Over the past two months, there were recorded 46,839 violations of traffic rules, Asadov added.
