Reshuffle in Azerbaijan Penal Service

Newly appointed Azerbaijani Penal Service head Medet Guliyev has signed an order to dismiss the head of the Registration Department at Penal Institution No. 17, Mayor Rafael Rahimov.

Rahimov was dismissed from the judiciary authorities due to serious shortcomings and violations in his activities.

Earlier, it was reported that Azerbaijani Interior Ministry Central Security Department head Medet Guliyev has been appointed as the head of the Penal Service and a deputy justice minister.

Guliyev replaced Nazim Alakbarov on the new post.
