Safer Internet Day marked in Azerbaijan

This day, which was first initiated by the European Commission in January 2004, is part of a global campaign aimed at Internet security, and celebrated on the first Tuesday in February each year.

Activities carried out this day are primarily aimed at promoting safer and more responsible use of Internet technologies, especially among children and young people around the world.

INSAFE (European Safer Internet Network) is the main organizer and coordinator of the Safer Internet Day supported by the European Union. The theme of 2011 is "Our virtual life” united under the slogan "It's more than a game. This is your life!"

The events to mark this day will take place in most countries, including Azerbaijan.
