PACE looks into judicial system of Azerbaijan

Visiting PACE Monitoring Committee co-rapporteurs for Azerbaijan Joseph Debono Grech (Malta) and Pedro Agramount (Spain) met with Chairman of the Supreme Court Ramiz Rzayev in Baku on February 1.

The Chairman briefed co-rapporteurs on the Azerbaian's judicial system, Supreme Court's structure and activity.

The workshop held weekly at the Supreme Court highlights the case law of the European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms.

The co-chairs told of the aim of their visit, Azerbaijan's European integration, improvement of the judicial system.
