What problems occured in Mingachevir reservoir?

There is no split and leakage in the Mingachevir Reservoir, chairman of the Azernergy Company Etibar Piriverdiyev told journalists.
According to Piriverdiyev, there was only problem with the reservoir’s water level. “All installations and dams are working normally. We conducted monitoring and didn’t identify any problem. Mingachevir reservoir has 15 billion cubic meters of water now. Its normal capacity is 16 billion cubic meters. We can raise the water level 15 cm more. We are regulating the reservoir’s work with Samkir dam”.

Etibar Piriverdiyev said there was no problem with Shirvan Power Station too. “The water reached record level at this station in its history, but we can operate the station normally even in this kind of condition. Azernergy experts are working in the Shirvan’s villages close to Sabirabad region and they are inspecting the dams and didn’t identify leakages. No houses were flooded in Bayramli settlement”.

The Azerenergy top official said the existed shortages were eliminated and there was no power problem in the region. “We stopped electricity supply in some places for security only”.
