Heydar Aliyev Foundation organizes famous Polish pianist’s visit to Azerbaijan's regions – PHOTOS

Heydar Aliyev Foundation organized a visit of famous Polish pianist Stanislav Dei to the regions of Azerbaijan as part of the project "Year of Frederic Chopin”, the foundation said. A musician well-known in Europe addressed a wide audience in Lankaran on May 5 and in Gabala on May 7.  Stanislav Dei held master classes in the local music schools and performed works by Chopin for young music lovers. The pianist also spoke about the work of the great coryphaeus.

Heydar Aliyev Foundation, which gives great importance to promotion of classical music, has also organized a commemorative evening for Shostakovich and Rostropovich. Traditional international festivals held in honor of Rostropovich, Music Festival in Gabala and Piano Competition help to form musical taste among the younger generation, the foundation said in a statement.
