Azerbaijani Education Minister spoke of the need for teachers in remote areas of the country

There is a need in teachers in remote regions of Azerbaijan, Minister of Education Misir Mardanov told media.
He said that there was a need for 7,000 teachers 6-7 years ago. Now this problem has been solved by 80%. "We have provided the Cabinet of Ministers with a new program to encourage young teachers and solve problems with teachers in rural schools. This program was approved," minister said.

The Azerbaijani government has fixed additional benefits and incentives for young teachers of the universities and secondary special institutions, who started their career in secondary schools.

"Anyone who will start career in secondary education institutions at a distance of more than 20 kilometers from the regional center will get 70 manat more within three years," the decree said.

Moreover, one-time assistance is envisaged to cover travel and transportation expenses, as well as transportation of equipment and improvement of teachers' terms.
