Baku to host seminar on "One student – one computer" project

On March 12, Intel Corporation and Azerbaijani Education Ministry’s Office for Informatization of Education System will hold a seminar on the "One student - one computer" project.
The seminar, to be held in the Ministry of Education Information and Resource Center, and will be conducted by Robert Fogel, manager of Intel’s “World Ahead” project for educational issues.

The seminar, designed for people holding leading positions in the education system, is an integral part of the activities carried out under the State program on Informatization of the Education System in the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2008-2012.

The seminar will give an extensive information about international experience and capabilities of the "One student - one computer” project, respective directions of development of education in the XXI century and will discuss the prospects of this project in Azerbaijan.

The seminar will also focus on detailed description of the main objectives of education in XXI century and key problems of e-learning in the XXI century and their solutions.

It should be noted that Robert Fogel has already held a series of seminars for people holding leading positions in the education system of the CIS countries.

The "One student - one computer" project is considered one of the most important projects aimed at achieving results on the implementation of ICT in education in Azerbaijan. The project aims to ensure students’ work with computers not only in computer classes held in schools, but also in other places.
