Baku hosts first education fair of German universities in S. Caucasus

The fair is organized by the Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan, German Academic Exchange Program (DAAD), German embassy in Azerbaijan and Azerbaijani embassy in Germany. A total of 22 universities participated in the fair.

Minister of Education of Azerbaijan Misir Mardanov said the fair aimed to make Azerbaijani students more familiar with the German universities and to extend the relations.

“More than 1,000 Azerbaijani students have received education in Germany within the DAAD projects since 1993 and returned home. The number of students passing academic programs in Germany will be increased in the next few years”.

German ambassador to Azerbaijan Per Stanchina said his country supported education programs for talented students in Germany and Azerbaijan.

“Both countries benefit from the academic exchange programs”.

The ambassador reminded that education fee in Germany is lower than in other European countries.
