Azerbaijani athlete makes it to final of world championship (Photo)

For the first time in the history of Azerbaijan’s athletics, Azerbaijani sprinter Ramil Guliyev made it to the final in the 200-meter race in the world track and field athletics championship in Berlin.
In the semi-final Ramil showed the time 20.28 seconds and won the 4thplace which enabled him to become a finalist. The Azerbaijani athlete showed 6th time among the 16 participants in the semifinals.

In the final Ramil will compete with Useyn Bolt (Jamaica), Wallace Spirmon (USA), Alonzo Edward (Panama), Steve Mullings (Jamaica), Charles Clark (U.S.), Shawn Crawford (U.S.) and David Alert (France).

By the way, Ramil Guliyev is the only white athlete among finalists of 200-meter race. The decisive race will be held on August 20 at 23:35 Baku time.
