Man detained over general Rail Rzayev's death

One person is confirmed to be detained in connection with murder of the commander of Azerbaijan's Air Force. A spokesperson for the Nasimi District Court informed ANS PRESS that the detained person Anar Rafiyev, 26,  had already been sentenced to three month of imprisonment. He is charged with Article 277 of the Criminal Code (Infringement upon state or public figure`s life)  .  

The head of the Press Service of the Prosecutor's Office Eldar Sulatonov neither confirmed, nor denied the information during his interview with ANS PRESS: "No official information has been revealed to the public yet since it bears investigation secrecy."

Yeni Musavat newspaper informed earlier today that police detained Rafiyev last week. During the police investigation, a military uniform was discovered in his car. Later, it was found that Rafiyev was not a serviceman. He was later taken to the Investigation Department of the Prosecutor's Office.   

The commander of Azerbaijan's air force was shot dead outside his house on February 11 this year.
