Azerbaijani Council of Press appeals to different structures about racketeering newspapers

The Council of Press of Azerbaijan has sent an appeal connected to racketeering newspapers to the publishing houses, distribution companies, different structures, reports Day.Az with reference to the Azerbaijani Council of Press.
As is reported at the session of the Council of Press it was decided to declare 36 newspapers as racketeering on the basis of reports of the secretariat of the council and due commissions.

"This decision was based on neglect of rules of professional conduct of journalists by these newspapers, conduction of actions, contradicting to the principles of ethics and professional ethics", says the statement.

The Council of Press, sending the list to different structures, voiced confidence that these facts will be taken into account during cooperation with these newspapers.

Notably, 36 newspapers including Boyuk Nakhchivan, Daryaz, Gundem, Edalet Ughrunda, Media Azerbaijan, Yeni dovr, Azerbaijan ganjliyi, Jurnalist ve ganun, Veten andi, Aile, Ideal Azerbaijan, Vetendash hugugu, Ideal, Khususi tehgigat, Taran, Aydin Azerbaijan, Nahchivan press, Azad press, Avrotimes, Kadr ve tereqqi, Achig fikir, Radikal, Azadlig ve zaman, Kriminal Alem, Fakt, Fakt+fakt, Mustegil dovlet, Muasir Nakhchivan, Nurlu seher, Azerbaijan yolu, Dunyaya Garabagh kharayi, Hefte sonu, Khalg vekili, Regionun sesi and Yeni Azerbaijan dunyasi were declared racketeering in 2008.
