Azerbaijan represented in opening of year of European culture in Austria

Reports say that the Azerbaijani delegation was invited for the event by the Federal Ministry of Education, Art and Culture of Austria. According to the Ministry of Culture this year the city of Lintz was declared the cultural capital of Europe.

In the framework of the visit to Austria members of the Azerbaijani delegation also attended the opening of "Best of Austria" exhibition, familiarized with the scientific Institute "Ars Electronica" and met with the mayor of the city Franz Dobush.

At the meeting it was reported that Baku is declared the cultural capital of the Islamic world of 2009 and he was handed a letter of invitation for participation in the opening ceremony in the Azerbaijani capital.
