Azerbaijani ombudswoman meets with EU representative

Azerbaijani ombudswoman Elmira Suleymanova met with Jean Luis Lavroff, adviser of Azerbaijani office of the EU commission, head of the section of the neighborhood policy of the EU delegation in Azerbaijan, reports Day.Az with reference to the press service for Azerbaijan's Ombudsman office.

During the meeting ombudswoman Elmira Suleymanova noted that Azerbaijan chose a way of integration to Europe, joined most international conventions, international organizations and is interested to expansion of ties with EU and so on.

Ombudswoman Suleymanov told the EU representative about the conducted legal reforms in our country and the work carried out in the sphere of human rights.

Lavroff noted that a new office of the EU commission opened in our country and took interest in the state of provision and protection of human rights in Azerbaijan.
