Azerbaijani ICT Minister receives letter due to unbearable situation in Internet

Unbearable situation, which hampers the development of competitiveness and free market of internet, has established in the sphere of Azerbaijani internet, says the letter of the president of the Azerbaijani Internet-forum Osman Gunduz, sent to ICT Minister Ali Abbasov, according to Novosti-Azerbaijan.

In his letter he stressed sharp rise in the cost of internet services along with their low quality.

According to Gunduz, the causes of this must be learned through a joint monitoring of the internet forum and the ministry. The letter touches upon the illegal actions and groundless statements of some officials of the Ministry.

The officials are developing illegal documents without consulting specialists and try to substantiate the claims of the Ministry for registration of internet addresses.

The author of the letter considers that the contacts between the Ministry and the civil society have weakened, officials do not inform the public about the developments in the sphere of information and communication and the work of the due state organizations.
