"Parviz Zulfigarov and Samir Huseynov were subjected to torture at 24th police department of the police station of Nizami, said Zulfugarov's relative Rovshan Aleskerov.

He said Parvuz Zulfugarov, Samir Huseynov and Elman Niftaliyev were detained under the fact of explosion in a residential building in Nizami.

"They were holding the repair works on the fourth floor of the five-storied building, where the explosion occurred. They were subjected to torture in the police, whose officials tried to make them admit that the left the gas on for the wallpapers to dry fast.

Parviz and Samir were subjected to inhumane tortures: 7-8 people hanged them and beat them on the feet. They beat them on other parts of their bodies. After that they made them sign their testimonies according to which they left gas on for night. I have a photos, on which it is evident that Parviz's legs are in a bad state. He is almost unable to move", noted Aleskerov.

As for Elman Niftaliyev, Aleskerov said he does not know anything about it and he has information about torturing his relative Parviz and Samir.

Aleskerov said that during the repair the flat was empty and not supplied with gas.

"During the repair there have not been any furniture or housing technique including gas stove. I have already sent an appeal to the related state structures. I call on the law-enforcement bodies of the country to investigate the explosion of the residential building in Nizami objectively", noted Aleskerov.

Day.Az correspondent has contacted chief of Nizami district police station Ismayil Asadov who refuted information about Samir and Parviz's torturing.

"They were called for interrogation and we took from them the testimonies about the blast, which hit the residential building. There is no need in beating these works. I was there and no one was beating them", concluded Asadov.

It should be noted that chief of department of the Republican prosecutor's office of Azerbaijan Hikmet Mamedquliyev told Novosti-Azerbaijan that during the repair works rules of security were not observed during installation of gas pipes in the flat, which resulted in gas leakage.

It should be reminded that explosion occurred on Saturday morning in a flat on the fourth floor of the five-storied building in Nizami district and in the result the landing of the third, fourth and fifth stores of the second bloc was destroyed.

In the result two people died and seven have been hospitalized, including a child. The residents of other flats are placed in kindergarten No 172.
