“Two blocks of the blasted building will be closed and residents of 30 apartments will temporarily be settled in the neighboring kindergarten number 172. All conditions will be created for them”, Head of Nizami District Executive Office Mehbali Aliyev told APA. According to him, those, who do not want to temporarily live in the kindergarten, can stay in their relatives’ houses.

Aliyev noted that the residents would continue to live in another 4 blocks of the blasted building.

List of dead and injured in the building blasted in Nakhchivanski Street, 34, of Nizami district, has been publicized. APA reports that 2 were killed and 6 injured in the blast.

According to Novosti-Azerbaijan, the deputy Minister of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan Etibar Mirzayev announced that exact data on those who suffered during the explosion is known.

"The corpses of two people have already been pulled out of the ruins. There are no corpses under the ruins. Operative measures have been completed. The ruins are now being cleaned away", said Mirzayev.

According to Day.Az, prosecutor of Baku city Aziz Seidov told ANS-PRESS that deceased Vitali was not registered in the flat where the explosion occured.

"The corpses of two other people are under the ruins. The work to pull them out continues", said the prosecutor.

"The responsible people may undergo trial", said he.

Seidov said that people, responsible for security technique during construction, will be brought to responsibility.

Two injured people were identified. Fuad Mahmudov and 22 year old Shirzad Kerimov were brought to hospital with burns and head injury.

The injured resident of the house, 68 year old Novrasta Gurbanova was brought to hospital No 5. 22 year old Oksana Mahmudova and 25 year old Shirkhan Kerimov are at hospital No 1 of Musa Naghiyev.

Residents of house No 34 of the Nakhchivani street have been evacuated. According to the head of executive powers of Nizami Mehbala Aliyev, talks are held with the Education Ministry to settle evacuated people in the building of the kindergarten near the exploded building.

“Eight people have been pulled from the rubbles of the building which was hit by a blast in Nakhchivanski Street,” Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations Etibar Mirzayev said, APA reports.

The Deputy Minister said it was supposed that there was no one under the rubbles.

Etibar Mirzayev said 6 of those pulled from the rubbles were injured, 2 dead. The Deputy Minister said that two blocks of the building had completely become useless.

Etibar Mirzayev said gas leak in the apartment under reconstruction had supposedly caused the blast and added that the investigation was underway.

One more body has been pulled from the rubbles of the building blasted in Nakhchivanski Street, 34, of Nizami district.

APA’s correspondent at the site reports that it has not been identified whether it was a man or a woman. The body was taken by an ambulance. The death toll in the building blast reached four.

According to Novosti-Azerbaijan, chief of department of Republican prosecutor's office of Azerbaijan Hikmet Mamedquliyev announced that the real causes of explosion will be revealed following expertise.

"Real evidences to help promote expertise have been taken from the spot", noted he.

"Currently, there are two preliminary versions of the explosion. The first version is the gas leakage in one of the flats on the fifth floor and the second is the conducted repair works on the fourth floor of the building", said Mamedquliyev.

He said perhaps security rules were not observed during installation of gas pipes in the flat during the repair works.

The article under which the criminal proceeding was instituted speaks of the violation of the rules of security while conduction of construction, mountain or other works, causing death to people or other heavy implications.

"The Baku prosecutor's office rules out the version that a terror act has become a cause of explosion", said prosecutor of Baku city Aziz Seidov.

"Terror act can not be a cause of explosion, as witnesses and victims, interrogated, state that the cause of explosion was the gas leakage. There are no evidences of terror act", noted he.

Seidov also confirmed that three people died, including Vitali, 20-25 years old. Also the officials of the Ministry of Emergency Situations managed to extract the corpse of the second deceased from under the ruins.

"Compensation will be paid to those, who sufferred from a blast in the residential five storied building in Nizami", said head of the executice powers of Nizami of Baku Mehbala Aliyev", reports Novosti-Azerbaijan.

He said if the caused damage is significant, the executive powers to appeal for help to the state.

He said the building will not be knocked down but will be restored. He said 17 flats were seriously damaged by the blast.

One more injured was rescued from destruction of the building exploded in Nizami District, Baku.

The number of injured men reached 6. APA’s correspondent reports from the site.

The measures are being taken to rescue one more man from destruction. One of rescued man is reported to be dead. Hajibala Abutalibov, Baku Mayor, Rafig Abbasov, Chief of Baku Main Police Department, Aziz Seyidli, Baku Prosecutor and other officials are at the site.
Two injured men Shirkhan Salimov, 23 and Oksana Mahmudova, 23 have been taken to Clinic Medical Center. They are X-rayed at present.

Three-year-old girl injured as a result of explosion of five-storeyed building #34 in Street Nakhchivansky, Nizami District is in bad condition, Gulmirza Poladov, Head of Child Surgery Department of Clinic #2 told APA that the child had not been identified yet.

The ambulance took the child to the hospital at 9.20.

“Approximately she is three years old. A brigade of doctors told us that blow threw off the girl and officials of Ministry of Emergency Situations rescued her,” he said.
To him, the child is in bad condition.

“The child cannot answer the questions, because she got brain injury. She is under serious medical control. We will try to prevent complications” he said.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations received information about explosion in the Nizami region at about 08:23, said Minister of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan Kemaleddin Heydarov, Day.Az reports with reference to ANS-PRESS.

He said brigades of firemen and rescue services were immediately sent to the spot. "Six people, including a child, have been rescued from the ruins. The rescue works continue".

The minister also noted that the explosion seems to take place in the resultof gas leakage. "Repair works were held on the fourth floor therefore, there is a version that it occured there". Heydarov refused to comment on the information about casualties.

Day.Az reports with reference to ANS-PRESS that according to the head doctor of the first medical aid of Baku Mursal Gamidov specified that a man of 40 died.

According to Gamidov, three other injured people were brought to hospotal and one of them is a child at the age of 2-3 years.

According to Interfax-Azerbaijan, head doctor of the medical service of Baku Mursal Gamidov said that four people including a child, two women and a man, were hospitalized on the spot.

"A young man died in the result of explosion. Probably, there are people under ruins", said Mamedov.
