Year of Azerbaijani culture ends in Germany

The state delegation of Azerbaijan, headed by first vice premier Elchin Efendiyev, visited Germany due to the completion of the year of culture of Azerbaijan in this country, said sources from the Azerbaijani embassy to Germany.

By the information, the final arrangements were held in Stutgart.

Efendiyev in the framework of the visit to Germany met with mayor of Stutgard Wolfgang Schultz, during which it was noted that the events, held in the framework of the year of Azerbaijan in Germany, promoted closer friendship between the two peoples.

In the Stutgart house of literature fragments of Anar's work "The sixth floor of the five-storied house" and "Azerbaijani tales", translated into German, were read by the German actor Ditrich Mattausch.

The event "Culture of wine between West and East", where Azerbaijani and German wines were demonstrated, was held on the same day.

The Year of Azerbaijani culture in Germany ended in Gala concert. Speaking before the concert Efendiyev welcomed the guests on behalf of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and noted that despite a part of the country is occupied and the country has over a million of internally displaced persons, the state provides any support to the sphere of culture.

The German TV channel SWR prepared a report on completion of the year of Azerbaijani culture.
