Leader of movement for rights of Iranian Azerbaijanis Abbas Lisani released from prison

Thus, the fighter for the rights of Iranian Azerbaijanis Lisani was held in prison for 30 months. He was charged with organization of the march to the Babek fortress in 2006, meetings of Azerbaijanis and causing damage to the national security of Iran.

Abbas Lisani was notably held in Ardebil and Akhar jails. He was sent to a prison in Yezd province in March of 2008.
