Protest action held opposite the US Embassy in Azerbaijan

Nardaran residents protested Stanley Escudero, former US Ambassador to Azerbaijan for buying 30-hectare land called Sefkhani under the decision of the court.

Five of the residents stated that they wanted to meet representatives of diplomatic mission of the US in Azerbaijan. Rasim Alizadeh, responsible representative of the residents presented the letter of Nardaran residents and resolution of picket to representative of the Embassy. The resolution demanded withdrawal of Escudero from Azerbaijan for his illegal actions. The incident is not reported during the picket.

Nardaran residents were stripped of the land plot in the place called Sefkhani by the court decision in 2006. The residents became aware of it only a year later. The court passed decision basing on the suit of Nardaran resident Salman Jabrayilov.
