Azerbaijan’s President allocates AZN 5 million on reconstruction of Shamakhy Astrophysical Observatory

Under the order, AZN 5 million has been allocated from the Reserve Fund of Azerbaijan’s President to ensure reconstruction of the observatory, strengthen its logistics and take urgent measures for its complete overhaul.

Azerbaijan National academy of Sciences is to ensure complete overhaul of Shamakhy Astrophysical Observatory in line with modern standards, supply it with necessary equipment. Finance Ministry will ensure transfer of the necessary funds to the account of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences.
