Azerbaijani sportsmen to get AZN 600,000 for a gold medal in the Summer Olympic games

The President of Azerbaijan voiced confidence that our sportsmen will show best results in the Olympic Games and noted that the achievements of Azerbaijani sportsmen are not spontaneous.

"This is a result of purposeful measures. Today, Azerbaijan is famous as a sport country in the world", noted Aliyev.

He said the premium fund has been set for sportsmen, who will show best results in the Olympic Games in Beijing. Ilham Aliyev noted that Azerbaijani sportsmen will get AZN 200,000 from the National Olympic Committee and AZN 400,000 from the state for a gold medal in the summer Olympic games.

"The main stimulus for victory are not money, but patriotism and philosophy of Azerbaijanism", resumed the President.
