Osman Gunduz: "Cost of internet services in Azerbaijan is ten times higher than in other countries"

He noted that the Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies has not made any steps since presentation of the proposal.

He said though 5-7% fall in prices periodically occurs in Azerbaijan, Internet tariffs remain ten times higher, as compared to other countries.

To reduce internet service fees, the forum considers it necessary to release personal providers for each user from monthly fees, expenses on the use of equipment and dial exchange channels and continue using  potential for reducing prices for connection of providers to the Global net.

Moreover, the forum offers to sell ADSL-modems by privilege prices ro raise quality and popularize internet. The proposals state the need for state support of programs and projects, ensuring formation of public information centers.
