Trainings of Azerbaijani and Georgian frontier guards and customs officials start on Red Bridge base

Trainings started on the base of the Red Bridge frontier service under the OSCE auspices on July 16.
According to a source from the Georgian frontier police, 20 frontier guards and customs officials from Georgia and Azerbaijan are attending the joint trainings on combat with transborder crimes.

The trainings are held in the framework of new scientific program of the OSCE, intended for expansion of cooperation and coordination of the activity of state institutions, engaged in border defense.

The frontier guards and customs officials will attend two-day theoretical and practical trainings for disclosure of falsified documents, prevention of mass destruction weapon smuggle, trafficking and illegal migration.

The press service for the frontier police notes that similar trainings have already been held at the base of Batumi service with participation of Georgian and Turkish frontier guards and customs officials.
