Conflict involving about 200 Azerbaijanis occurs in Yekaterinburg, Russia

A private conflict occurred between Azerbaijani native and two Georgian natives in Russian Yekaterinburg, which led to mass resentment among the Azerbaijani diaspora representative.
An Azerbaijani native was brutally beaten in the territory of vegetable base No 4 on Thursday evening, said spokesman for the state department of internal affairs of Sverdlovsk Valeri Gorelikh.

By preliminary data, two Georgian natives marked the birthday of local resident. They argued and fight with an Azerbaijani.

The Azerbaijani ethnic was brutally beaten. Moreover, Georgians bited his ear lobe off in the fighting. The victim was brought to hospital but did not appeal to militia.

On the same day, his compatriots came to the base administration and demanded explanations of why no measures were taken to defend the victim.

The administration promised to investigate the case, but did not keep the promise.

The conflict grew into a mass one on Friday. About 200 Azerbaijanis came to the base. The base administration appealed to militiamen. Special militia divisions and representatives of the Yekaterinburg department of internal affairs, as well as the railway administration of the state internal affairs department.

Moreover, an investigation group arrived at the vegetable base. The victim's defenders went away but filed no claim to militia. Nevertheless, regardless of the wish of the victim Azerbaijani, militiamen will institute legal proceedings under article 112 of the Russian Criminal Code "Causing severe injuries".
