Exhibition of Azerbaijani painters to open in Germany

The paintings of contemporary Azerbaijani artists will be put for exhibition in Berlin on July 14-August 7, reports Interfax-Azerbaijan with reference to the press service for the Azerbaijani Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
An exhibition "Art is not only something terrible" will be held in the framework of the year of Azerbaijan in Germany.

18 works of artist Vuqar Muradov, 10 paintings of Niyaz Najafov, two sculptures of Mahmud Rustamov and one of Teymur Rustamov, 10 photo works of Sanan Alekperov, 10 photo works of Rena Efendi and one of Orkhan Aslanov, as well as East-West shadow installation of Rashad Alekperov will be featured in the exhibition.

"Main features of Azerbaijani art, which, undoubtedly, reflect national character are love for life, for beauty, hedonism of form and color, combination of reality and dreams of wonderful world. Medieval miniature, jewels, wall paintings of the 18-19th centuries and stone ornaments of ancient constructions is a bright evidence of it", noted the source from the Ministry.

Chief of the sector of Culture Ministry Leyla Akhundzade, painters Vuqar Muradov, Niyaz Najafov and Rashad Alekperov will leave for Berlin for organization of the event on July 13-16.
