Military court starts trial of Azerbaijani frontier guard killing Georgian citizen

The Military Court of Grave Crimes of Azerbaijan held a preliminary hearing on the case of Azerbaijani frontier guard Vasif Aghayev, accused of killing Georgian citizen 34 year old resident of Marneuli region Elmikhan Samed oghlu Nasibov, according to the source from the Military Court.

In line with the materials of the case, in August of 2007 soldier of the  Azerbaijani frontier service Vasif Aliyev fired at Georgian citizen Elmikhan Samed oghlu Nasibov on the Georgian-Azerbaijani border.

Aghayev fired at Nasibov as the latter entered a prohibited area, locating 2 kilometers away from the Red bridge border check point. It should be noted that frontier guard Aghayev was recruited by military enlistment office of the Imishli region of Azerbaijan.
