Soldier of Azerbaijan's Defense Ministry wins case against Gundelik Baki newspaper

The Yasamal district court of Baku, presided by judge Haqani Taghiyev, held a court hearing on the claim of soldier of the housing and operational department of the Defense Ministry Fardi Mursalova, filed against Gundelik Baki newspaper for protection of his honor and dignity, reports Day.Az with reference to the Institute for Reporters Freedom and Safety.

It is reported that the claim was filed due to publication of an article entitled "Mehman Jajaliyev does not stop his illegal actions" (Mehman Hajaliyev is a chief of the division of the housing and operational department of the Defense Ministry) in the newspaper.

The soldier states that the article is not proven by facts and bothers him and his parents.

The final claim fixed demand to fine the newspaper with AZN 50,000 and give refutations.
