Chairman of Institute for Reporters Freedom and Safety detained in Baku

Chairman of the Institute for Reporters Freedom and Safety Emin Huseynov was detained in front of the Presidential palace of Azerbaijan at about 12:00, says the statement of the Institute for Reporters Freedom and Safety.
As is reported Huseynov was recording the action of the parents and pupils in front of the Presidential palace, protesting against the results of centralized test exams.

The official of the said institute, being on the spot, announced that a person in a civilian form came up to Huseynov and demanded to enter the presidential palace.

After Husetnov entered the palace, the documents and camera was taken away from him.

Day.Az correspondent has appealed to the Institute for reporters' freedom and safety to learn about Huseynov.

A source from the Institute reported that Huseynov has been released and is at work.

Huseynov said he was question by persons in a military uniform for over than two hours.

He said people, who took his camera and video camera away have removed all photos, after which his facilities and documents were returned.

Huseynov noted that while being in the court he was treated too rudely.

"In this connection I am going to appeal to the court", resumed the head of the institute.

It should be noted that a group of parents and pupils held an action in front of the presidential palace, protesting against results of a single centralized text examinations. A similar action was held before the Ministry of Education yesterday.
