Minister of Labor and Social Policy of Ukraine to visit Azerbaijan

A delegation led by deputy minister of labor and social protection of population of Azerbaijan Ilqar Rahimov is visiting Geneva (Switzerland), said spokesman for the Azerbaijan Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population Elnur Kalantarov.

He said the visit aims at participating in the 97th session of the International Labor Organization.

Rahimov speaking at the event stressed importance of introduction of fundamental principles and rights in the sphere of labor, as well as mechanisms of their execution on the national and international levels.

The deputy minister noted that the Azerbaijani government intend to further cooperate with the International Labor Organization.

Rahimov held a meeting with minister of labor and social policy of Ukraine Ljudmila Denisova. At the meeting, the deputy minister stressed successful development of fruitful cooperation in the sphere of labor and social protection between Azerbaijan and Ukraine.

Rahimov invited Denisova to visit Azerbaijan.

At the same time, the deputy minister met with Russian minister of health and social protection Alexander Safonov. The meeting focused on analysis of current ties in the sphere of labor between the two countries  and others.

In Geneva Rahimov will hold meetings with representatives of Germany, Philippines, Netherlands and others.

The visit will last until June 13.
