Last year more than 30 judges were removed form the office as a result of principal evaluation of the judges’ activity and disciplinary proceedings were launched against more than 50 judges over the two years and three judges were removed from the office prematurely because of corruption and law violations and three judges were demoted.

Widening of the judge staff by 50 per cent reduced their duties, as well as bureaucracy in their activities and guaranteed quality of the trials.

However it was impossible to provide full completing of the judge staff because lack of the specialists and therefore the election process of the judge nominees started 102 succeeded candidates passed half-year education course and internship in the courts, as well as abroad and demonstrated high skills and were allowed to the final stage.

The council considered it possible to complete vacancies in the high-instance courts and made proposals for the appointment of experienced judges to the Supreme and Appeal Courts.
