07 June 2008 [12:52] - TODAY.AZ
Center of Traffic Safety and Regulation has been commissioned in Nakhchivan.
A source from the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Nakhchivan told APA that 128 video cameras will be established in the streets of the capital city.

Video cameras will help control traffic, fix car numbers, creating emergency conditions, as well as pedestrians, violating rules of road crossing.

Moreover, the system of video fixation will help strengthen control over the security of strategic establishments.

A fiber-optic cable extending to 40 kilometers was laid while installing the system in Nakhchivan. The equipment for the center was purchased from SONY company.

Perhaps, in the future, the coverage of the said will be expanded to other regions and state establishments.
