Russia hopes for soonest resolution of problem with detention of Russian cargo for Bushehr NPP in Azerbaijan

The due announcement was made by acting secretary of the Russian Security Council Valentine Sobolev, according to Novosti-Azerbaijan.

Sobolev arrived to the Iranian capital for talks by the line of the Security Council with his Iranian counterpart Said Jalili.

"During the meeting Russia and Iran confirmed that financing, as well as all supplies of equipment for construction of Bushehr NPP will be conducted in time", said Sobolev commenting on the situation with cargo arrest.

The thermal-insulating equipment from Russia for the first Iranian nuclear power plant was detained in Azerbaijan for about a month ago.

"By the information, Russia and Iran have, there have not been any violations. Currently the customs bodies and Foreign Ministries undertake due measures", said Sobolev.
