Azerbaijan State Customs Committee: "Cargo sent from Russia to Iran has been detained due to the absence of a special permission"

Under decision No 230 of the Cabinet of Ministers, there should be a special permission to convey them as transit goods.

The due announcement was made by the press service for the State Customs Committee commenting on the detention of goods sent from Russia to Iran-based Bushehr nuclear power plant in Astara border checkpoint.

As the said permission has not been presented, the cargo is detained in the Astana customs point. The issue is currently being studied.

It should be reminded that the train with cargo was detained on the Astara border point and according to Azerbaijani frontier guards their administration prohibited to allow this cargo pass the border.
