Azerbaijan's producing enterprises exceed level of water pollution

By results of a monitoring held by the Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, every two out of 1,891 producing enterprises every pollute water and every three pollute air.

The State Statistical Committee said 2,034 officers and citizens were brought to responsibility for polluting environment.

Offices and citizens were imposed a fine of AZN 116,700 and enterprises of AZN 222,000.

As of January 1, 1.7 million tons of harmful wastes were accumulated at producing enterprises, of which 1.2 million tons are harmful effluents of metal processing.
