European Court considering claims of two Azerbaijani reporters

The due information was provided by chairman of the Forum of Azerbaijani Lawyers Intigam Aliyev.

He said the European Court had submitted a request to the government of Azerbaijan regarding the claims of reporter of the Turan information agency Sarvan Rizvanov and editor-in-chief of the Boz gurd newspaper Ramiz Nadjafli.

Intigam Aliyev noted that R.Sarvanov suffered physical pressure from the side of an officer of the Yasamal district police station in 2005.

According to the lawyer, R.Nadjafli was beaten during the meetings, initiated by the opposition.
