The Nakhchivan Court of Appeal considered the appeal on the case of the reporter of the Azadlyg radio station Ilgar Nasibov, against the court decision of this instance regarding the elimination of conditional release.

The due information has been provided by the Institute of Reporters' Freedom and Safety.

Reporter's wife Malakhat Nasibova said that the process started at 10:00 a.m. and continued until 04:00 p.m. The court was chaired by judge Ali Allahverdiyev.

"During the court hearing, Nasimov petitioned for bringing camera and dictaphone to the hall, for compensating for the material and moral damage caused by law-enforcement bodies during the search in his flat. But the court did not grant the petitions", Nasibova said.

Thus, the court uphold the decision, passed on December 10 of 2007.

Nasibova noted that they intend to appeal again.

It should be reminded that Ilgar Nasibov was arrested for three months on December 6. He was sentenced conditionally for one year and released in the hall on December 10 by decision of the Court of Appeal.
