Victims of January 20 tragedy to be commemorated in US

The Embassy of Azerbaijan and Azerbaijani Trade and Cultural Center will organize a commemorative event in Washington on January 18. The victims of the January 20 events will be commemorated and film “Way leading to black January” will be demonstrated.

The US-Azerbaijan Council will organize a special ceremony on the January events in Azerbaijani Consulate General in Los Angeles on January 20. Azerbaijani permanent representative to UN Agshin Mehdiyev reported that the commemorative event will also be held in the permanent representation.

Hundreds of Azerbaijanis living in the US have for the first time sent letters on the events of January 20 to their congressmen, senators, US executive bodies, media outlets and public organizations via U.S. Azeris Network.
