Famous Azerbaijani composer becomes UNESCO Artist for Peace

The Azerbaijani composer, chairperson of the Azerbaijan Composers’ Union Firangiz Alizade has been honoured a UNESCO Artist for Peace in recognition of her support for UNESCO programs and activities. Eleonora Huseynova, Ambassador, Permanent Representative of Azerbaijan at UNESCO told.

Valuable service of the composer is her compositions with rich rhythm and melody which made the ancient and rich Azerbaijani music famous all over the world, including Germany, France, USA, Japan, Italy, Sweden and other countries.

The composer will be soon presented with Diploma of the Artist for Peace at the ceremony held at the Organization`s head office.
