Azerbaijanis gains 90 medals in 2007

Board meeting of Sport and Youth Ministry debated following issues today: sport successes in the six months of 2007, Sabirabad Youth and Sport Committee’s steps, working plan of the next six months and awarding of honoured names.
Ministry’s Sport Department’s chief said sportsmen gained 12 more medals these six months in comparison with the same period of the last year. There are 32 gold, 23 silver and 35 bronze medals.

In 2006 Azerbaijani sportsmen won 287 medals in 2006. The board meeting approved agenda of the upcoming six months. It is noted that the Ministry is to hold 30 measures till the end of 2007. It is also decided to grant honoured names in the ballot of Committee within Sports and Youth Ministry.
