Efforts are made to release imprisoned journalists, omb says

Efforts are being made to release arrested journalists. I hope a turning point will be made on the issue in adherence to democratic principles in Azerbaijan, Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsperson) Elmira Suleymanova said.

She told APA the release of five arrested journalists is at the centre of her attention.

Elmira Suleymanova said she was applied on the five arrested journalists. "I and also representatives of Ombudsman Office met the journalists and we assisted them within our power."
