Omb against inclusion of item on life sentence of women into Criminal Code

Omb visiting detention places during the implementation of Amnesty act mentioned her appeals to the head of state taking into account women and old prisoners' applications and said the case was considered in the framework of the law.

"Everyone wants to be free. But there are rules. I will follow the process of implementation of amnesty act and comment it," she said.

Omb does not agree to the proposal of the Council of Europe on including item on life sentence of women into the Criminal Code. Suleymanova said that she will express her position when the issue is debated in the parliament, APA reports.
