Azeri judo squad capture 5 medals in World Cup

Elnur Mammedli (73 kg), Mehman Azizov (81 kg) and Movlud Mireliyev (100 kg) beat all rivals and capture gold medal. Nijat Shikalizade (60 kg) managed to score silver medal after the final defeat. Threefold European champ Elchin Ismailov (66 kg) suffered failure in his first international competition this year. Ramil Gas?mov (66 kg), Araz Mukhtarov (73 kg), Elkhan Radjabli (81 kg) and Elkhan Mammedov (90 kg) failed to win a medal too.

Female wrestlers joined the same competition in Vejen, Denmark. Kifayet Gasimova (57 kg) won bronze medal. Ramile Usubova and Shehane Ammammedova (63 kg) couldn’t justify confidence. The sportsmen return tomorrow.
